Best know as Acrylic, Plexiglas or Perspex, PMMA was discovered by Rowland Hill and John Crawford in the early 1930’s at Imperial Chemical Industries in England.  It is made in a process called Polymerization where hydrocarbon fuels are combined with catalyst to produce plastic and it’s 100% recyclable.
